The inspiration for my art comes from the beauty that I find in my everyday life. I am constantly looking for new ideas through photo journeys around the area, traveling to other locations, or perhaps even in my own backyard. Putting those scenes on canvas serves as an outlet for my creativity and as a opportunity to relax and get away from problems or worries. When I paint, I let my mind drift back to where the ideas originated, remembering the sights and smells to bring the painting to life
I am a Flower Mound, Texas based artist specializing in impressionist/realistic oil paintings. I am equally comfortable using brush or palette knife to create my art. My oil paintings include many florals, landscapes, and seascape scenes that I have come across in my travels and everyday life.
Working with a brush allows me to capture the minutest detail. While using the palette knife allows me to add texture and depth to a painting. I liken it to being a storyteller on canvas and welcoming you to join me on a visual journey, sharing in the peace and joy that my work brings.
I am an associate member of Oil Painters of American and have spent many hours developing my skills through workshops and training sessions from other artists. I am active in the local art community through area art associations, having serve in leadership positions and by displaying my art in local exhibits.
