with Laurin McCracken AWS, NWS, WHS
Texas style at the *404 Ranch*
Oct 7 – 12, 2018
This workshop is for artists who are intermediate or more and want to learn to paint in the realistic style of the Dutch and Flemish still life painters of the 16th and 17th century. (See Painting Above by Laurin) You will learn how to see, draw and paint objects in realistic detail. We will paint a simple still life of clear glass from a photo provided. From a projected image, you will trace a still life to paper. You will learn the British, Two-Brush technique of how to make things look round and three dimensional. Participants will learn about various techniques of painting realism. These techniques can apply to many types of subject matter. The goal is to learn a lot and enjoy the journey.
