A small study of reflection and light on gently rippling water was a neat color palette.
While working with collage at a workshop in Creede, CO, we first went outside to sketch. I chose the branches of a low hanging tree for the pattern of the rice paper underlay. I went on to define the branches and the feel of water below with watercolor and acrylic.
My daughter and I walked 115 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain two years ago, after the loss of my husband and her father. It was an incredibly spiritual and beautiful time for us. There were so many panoramas and lovely churches along the way.
This pilgrimage has been inspiring people for hundreds of years and was an experience of a lifetime for me.
