The first Sunday of December, Colonial Williamsburg opens the Holiday with three simultaneous firework displays in the park. At the Capital, the finale brought a waterfall near the ground and rockets above. The smoke was everywhere in beautiful shades of gray and aqua. The majestic ancient oaks lit from behind were amazing!
There is mystery in the slow soft movement of fog. One minute you may see the cows and wonder if the farmer is out there too. If you look hard enough might you see him?
To me this has been a challenge for my paintings to show that mystery… “now you see it, now you don’t.”
