I worked intuitively layering colors and applying collage in select spaces. A flower seems to appear in this work where color and shape reflect emotion.

Card Players is part of the “Moments in Time” series. It depicts four boys hanging out on the beach at Ocean City, New Jersey, playing cards and listening to the radio, sometime during the 1950’s. It was inspired by old family photos. Two of the boys are my uncles. It symbolizes a slower, more innocent time, when the most important technology was the family radio.
