November at our ranch was very impressive with vividly bright colors on the leaves of the trees and bushes. I’ve never seen such a vast array of colors at the ranch.
Spring in Texas brings with it an extravagant display of wild flowers. A road trip is a must to see the palette of shapes and colors and to view the spectacle of road sides and hills that are blanketed with them. The palette of God is beyond amazing.
As an artist and a Texan, this year’s road trip was won by the Bluebonnet (official state flower) because of its beauty and I am “Texas Proud”.
As summer is next, I can’t wait to see what God has to show me on this years’ palette of color.
“Catch and release is how my husband fishes in Creede, Colorado. On a prime fishing excursion, he photographed the catch in a fishing net to show me his prize before the release. As an artist, instead of seeing his prize catch I saw the dimensional values, the opaque, translucent, and transparent qualities of the fishing net. The beautiful, large fish was of secondary importance to me.
Transparent watercolor medium was the only way to capture the beauty that caught my attention. Thus, I present to you ‘Catch and Release’; given to me by a fisherman but given to you by an artist.”
