Oil on Canvas
This is reminisce of all the sunsets I enjoyed while living at the foot of the Sandia Mountain. Looking West from there the Rio Grande Valley rises to the West Mesa on which five extinct volcanos reside. Every evening as the sunset builds behind them, they appear as sentinels guarding heavens treasured gold.

Heavily textured carved substrate
While painting on this canvas I did not have a subject in mind. I was more interested in the various mediums I kept applying so I would say I was working intuitively. As I progressed I began to notice circles appearing. I thought this must have something to do with my current life. My projects are many but never completed. I am running around in circles.
