Off the Grid Series of paintings by Julia Ross features artist’s travel experiences – away from the life of the ever present.
“Pathways” imagines the circles, trails & messages encountered on life’s journey.
The “Ancestry Series“ paintings was begun to explore native peoples’ symbols & their meanings. The artist used these to tell universal stories. Each painting is executed free-hand with the story evolving as the design emerges. Dots of paint are applied using a number of different tools- whatever works.
The fun and discovery of summer adventures create special memories, sometimes not literal but always with focus on the experienced moment.
This painting was taken from one of Henry’s photos from his summer travels.
