Fluid Sculptures – The Motion of Art
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with physics, especially water. The “Fluid Structure” designs I have, appear to be in motion, but at the same time compliment this, often times hard to hold, element of our existence.
I enjoy nurturing metal, wood, and glass together into “functional art” pieces that can be both enjoyed and used. Some pieces look as though they are moving, some appear to be falling, and others seem to be floating. The sculpture designs will communicate the frailty of life while at the same time communicate the strength of a collective humanity.
Much of my inspiration comes from an intense desire to do that which I don’t think can be done. I am also wildly inspired by my faith in God and the way He touches art through my hands.
Put simply, I think it’s fun to watch “The Motion of Art”.
