“Trees”
by Naomi Brotherton
“To paraphrase from Joyce Kilmer’s famous poem,”
Trees (copyright 1914)
‘I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree.
……
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.’
“Trees are a favorite of mine to paint and they show such beauty in all their forms. Lush with green leaves, strikingly colored leaves in the fall, and the beautiful shapes their bare branches make against the winter sky.”
“I hope you will join me on Saturday July 20, 2019 for my reception and 2019 99th birthday celebration. Featured will be some of my tree paintings and other artwork. Of course, if you are not able to join me at the reception, then please take the time to enjoy my work during the Show dates.”
