“This was my second attempt to paint subjects with a three-dimensional mist background. After some experimentation, I got it right and I was happy with the result.”
“The subject of roses is much more personal. My mother’s name was Rose Maurice Peterson, so the subject of roses seemed a natural. She especially loved two flowers, Lilacs and Yellow Roses. So, both the subject of roses, and especially the Yellow Rose, are an homage’ to my mother.”
