“This is a very special piece for me. We see life how we choose to see it. In this painting the character is blinded by a wreath of flowers she might have weaved herself – this is to indicate how she chooses to see the world without forgetting the possible thorns there might be underneath the surface. There is always a choice: to leave the wreath where it is and continue our chosen vision, or take it off with the awareness that you might get blinded by the thorns and see reality as is.”
