“This particular stallion is named Elegante, and I think his name is quite fitting.  He is an Andalusian, which is a breed of horse that is strongly built and compact, yet very elegant (thus this guy’s name). Andalusians have thick manes and tails which are usually left to grow long.  They are known for their gentle nature, intelligence, and sensitivity.  Elegante seems to flow through a golden background in this painting.  Depending on the lighting, the mood and the radiance of this painting shifts constantly.”
