“Two quiet mares resting under a large shade tree in a pasture along a scenic route in Tennessee.  The mares were part of a large herd used for trail rides in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.  It was definitely a very warm day and I’m sure the occasional cloud cover and breeze were much appreciated by the horses.  Perhaps they had come back from a ride not long before I snapped the reference pics I used!”
