“‘Flight plan’ is a series of paintings that are based on a phenomenon call ‘Murmation’.  I became completely enchanted with this phenomenon, which results when hundreds, sometimes thousands, of starling birds fly in swooping, intricately coordinated patterns through the sky.  The starlings twist, turn, swoop and swirl across the sky in beautiful shape-shifting clouds.  I view these birds as artists of the sky.”
