“Dancers have held a fascination for me, starting when I was at college. I started out being very active in the theater program at BYU, where I saw a lot of plays, musicals, and dance concerts. The fluid movements to me were like, quite literally, poetry in motion. They were mesmerizing.
I painted this sculpture as a nod to dancers and the beauty they create. I love the ethereal nature of the image and the floating, fluid motions that they evoke.”
