“Only 34 years ago a rare site was spotted off the coast of Maine. The ‘Artic Tern’ had arrived.  I wanted to capture the long angular lines of this bird and its distinctive orange beak and feet.  A fun contrast to paint against a neutral color scheme and the numerous shapes and textures surrounding it.”
