“Reclamation is a piece that I began painting, but it took a turn I was not pleased with. So I put it aside for a few months, and started again.”
Using a canvas that already had layers of paint, lent a certain depth to the piece. It is a piece that speaks to tranquility and peace. Confidence and balance are projected through the harmony and structure of the bold lines, yet the piece’s past still peeks through. Reminding us that unintended consequences are not a reason to give up.”
