Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary
Framed 36 x 24″
Polymer Clay on Multimedia Board
This work attempts to capture the moment in time when, in an instant, everything pertaining to man changed. It was the moment when the two Mary’s, contrary to their expectation, found the tomb of Jesus empty and all of life vibrantly different!
Wanda Bird –
This piece speaks so many things. A blast of grace. Infinite space as if going through a black hole into eternity. The rainbow, a promise of God indicating a further promise of the returning Savior. The final eclipse. And yes the stone is gone. True life in God could not be held captive. Hallelujah!
John Giddens –
